Do you want to continue to grow, get support and tons of inspiration in your role as a UX designer?

Format
Lean coffee-format discussion with subject/questions based on the participants' ideas, thoughts, and requests.

Isn’t it scary?
Sometimes it can be frightening to actively participate in discussions with peers. But it IS really rewarding:

  • Getting more perspectives besides only one speaker’s
  • More meaningful networking
  • Discussions driven by the participants are more relevant and educational

Besides, there is an awesome feeling to realize how much you know and can share - give yourself some credit, girl!

Do you wish to give a lightning talk? Don’t hesitate to contact us!

Can I come?
We welcome you if you define yourself as a woman or non-binary who works or studies within the UX field.

Why women?
We want to act as a catalyst who wants to change the phenomenon ”a man talks more than six women” in the UX community. So that everyone can get an equal chance to participate in the UX space. The organizers are open for feedback and continuous input for improvements.

Humblebrag - feedback from participants
”Fun with a place where you can discuss and meet with likeminded. Got home inspired and full of energy!”

”Super nice! A great forum where women support each other and share knowledge. There are so many great women out there that deserve to be acknowledged!”

”Really welcoming environment came there on my own and didn’t know anyone but everyone was open and very nice.”

On the request of the participants, we only have a limited amount of student tickets. We reserve the right to reject students who register for an ordinary ticket. This is due to feedback received that too many students in the group are not favorable to neither the students nor the professionals.

Hope we will see you there!

PS.

Since the event sold out so quickly (which we of course are sooooo happy about <3) we have decided on a way to create a waitlist. When there aren't any tickets left, please email ut at hej@femmesinux.se, write "waitlist/väntelista 6/2" as subject. That way we can give you a ticket when there are any available. :)

Lightning talk

From Participatory Design Research to product launch: what began as a future workshop during my MSc at KTH is now a product 2 months away from launching! Over the past 3 years we have involved hundreds of end users and iterated our solution month after month to arrive to what is the imagiCharm today - a smart accessory customisable through programming. In her talk Dora will not only introduce the design methods that have shaped imagiLabs but also how her background in User Centred Designed has helped her in the start-up founder journey.

She is passionate about using technology for good and lowering the barrier to entry to education. Dora believes in the power of technology to shape the future and the power of girls to create the technologies and tech enabled businesses of the future.

Dora (a true explorer) has lived, studied and volunteered in 10 countries across 4 continents.
